How do you lead a group, build trust, or stay calm under pressure when there’s no classroom, no script, and no clear answers?
“Trained To Be Wild” is an international training course in Mustjõe designed for people who want to bring outdoor activities into their projects, communities, or other youth work settings in a safe, meaningful, and engaging way. This is not just about going into nature. It is about learning how to use nature as a powerful learning environment.
For eight activity days, participants from different countries will come together to build practical skills, exchange methods, and strengthen their ability to design and lead outdoor activities. The focus is on real application: how to plan, facilitate, and manage outdoor experiences that are both impactful and responsible.
The training combines hands-on practice with structured reflection. From energizers in the forest to full-day activity planning, the program helps you rethink how learning and connection can happen beyond four walls.
Safety and responsibility are at the core of this course. You will develop essential knowledge in first aid, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness, including how to respond in critical situations and how to prevent them in the first place.
Beyond skills, the training highlights why outdoor activities matter. Nature-based experiences can support mental and physical well-being, strengthen group dynamics, and create more authentic connections. At the same time, they encourage environmental awareness and a more sustainable way of engaging with the world around us.
If you are looking to expand your skills, gain confidence in outdoor settings, and bring new energy into the way you organize activities, this training course offers you the tools to do it. You will leave with practical knowledge, tested ideas, and a clearer understanding of how to turn outdoor experiences into meaningful journeys.
