To ”measure” acquired knowledge or skills throughout a project
Material:
Paper in A3 format
Post-it notes
Glue/Tape/Pins
Instructions:
On the paper, draw as many thermometers, which will represent the participant’s knowledge on a specific topic related to the project, as you would like.
To distinguish them, each thermometer will have a different color.
Participants will write their names on several post-it notes of the same color as thermometers.
Each post-it note will be attached to a higher or lower height of the thermometer, reflecting the participant’s “temperature” (the knowledge or skill) in that topic.
At the beginning of a project, participants will stick their post-it notes according to their initial level, and each day there will be a brief space for them to move them (up or down).
Reflection:
At the end of the project, take time to reflect on the participant’s expectations and compare them to the actual result (as seen on the thermometers).
Things to keep in mind…
Every day, the facilitator must take a picture of these thermometers to track their progress.
