We are constantly bombarded with information, it’s increasingly difficult to distinguish what is true and what is not. There is so much polarizing info around climate change, vaccines, healthy diet or pretty much any other topic that you can think of. Much of that stems from not having the right tools to understand the flaws and limitations of our own mind. This makes it more difficult to interpret what we see/read online and reflect upon it. We end up in a dangerous situation where we are vulnerable to be lied to and can be misled to believe something that is simply not true. Thus we believe that critical thinking skills and self-reflection are important abilities for people to acquire. By acquiring such skills, we’re better suited to make the right decisions, make sense of what’s going on around us and understand the way different groups of people think.
This summer we are proud to open this year’s Erasmus+ program with our Youth Exchange „Theory of Reason“ that will be carried out in a natural resort in Taevaskoja, Estonia 19-28 of July. It will involve 32 participants, aged 18-30, from Spain, Slovakia, Sweden and Estonia. Together, we will unlock our potential to think critically and independently through several interactive workshops, group activities and debates. As a result, we are better able to understand our own limitations and the way people think.
In addition to the main topic this is a great opportunity to travel, make new friends and create international contacts, practice your language and communication skills, explore new cultures and places as well as have lots and lots of fun! This summer is a great time to break from our daily routines, get closer to nature, learn together with like-minded people across Europe and simply have an amazing time!
