The facilitator asks the participants to make two circles in a way that each person faces one other person (one “inner circle” and one “outer circle”). They explain that the participants have exactly 30 seconds to discuss the following topic: How to cook your favorite meal?; Why does one sock get lost every time?; European Union is a waste of time; Second-hand clothes are better than the new ones). The facilitator should have in mind that in this time both discussants have to address the topic. After 1 minute the participants who are in the outer circle make a step to the right and discuss a new topic with the new partner, again for 1 minute. This goes on until everyone in the outer circle has spoken with everyone in the inner circle (or until the facilitator chooses).
Tip:
Take a break right after this activity to let people spontaneously finish their ongoing conversations.
