The Numbers Game

  • Two (or more) sets of numbers from 0 to 9, each written/printed out on A5 paper.
  • Face paint/marker.

  • Split the participants into two (or more) groups of precisely ten people.
  • Give one set of numbers from 0 to 9 to each team. Every participant will grab one number.
  • Write the numbers on their faces, big enough to see them easily.
  • Make space between the groups.
  • You will then call out different figures, and the teams have to organize themselves in that order showing the numbers in front of them before the other team does to score points.
  • The goal is to earn 5 points to win.
  • These figures do not have to include all numbers from 0 to 9, although make sure not to duplicate them when you call out the figures (e.g., 54623, 817459302, etc.). You can prevent this by writing them down before the activity. Write at least ten of them.
Things to keep in mind…
  • If you can’t make groups of ten people, make sure there is at least an equal number of participants in each team.
  • In this case, prepare the numbers and figures accordingly, e.g., take out the zero, if there are just nine people, etc.
