Each participant writes their name on a small piece of paper and puts it into a box/a hat/etc. The facilitator then lets everyone take one paper out of the box, which is not their own. The participants have to look for that person by asking everyone for their name (“Are you Peter/Olga/etc.?”), to which others have to answer only by saying ”Yes” or “No”. If they have found that person, they sit down and introduce themselves to each other shortly. The person who’s found their friend remains sitting, and the other one has to look for their own friend. If they didn’t find that person on the first try, they put the paper back into the box and take another paper. The activity ends when everyone is sitting.
